I was in morrisons today & someone was as the checkout manager called it "kicking off" about how she only had card receipt & the store manager came along & printed out all the receipts again for her, the staff weren't impressed and were muttering about how it should be done for everyone, the facility is there to reprint a receipt from a card one, in your case where you need one I would have thought they could help

  • I feel sorry for people who did not get their voucher. Though I was one of those people who read the terms and conditions, they did make it very clear that it was £40 on one receipt and it had to be itemised. They also listed the exclusions so it is very strong to call it a con!
  • I can see why they might not accept multiple receipts as I suppose family and friends could club together. However, surely some common sense would not go amiss. If the staff know their regular customer have multiple receipts because they are not able to make one trip they could make a concession.

They are probably shooting themselves in the foot on this one. The other supermarkets are no better. I am not loyal to just the one. It depends what offers they have on and what else I am doing at the time. We very rarely get all our shopping from one place.

Why should they make concessions? If you are not happy with the offer, do not use it. There are numerous offers that many people are unable to take up by all shops. There are far more bogof offers instead of half-price offers. Buy one carton of orange juice pay £1.05, buy three cartons pay 75p. If you are poor or have a small budget then you pay more. That is reality. That is what moneysavers want. Why should a shop not encourage higher sales?

Spend £180 get £20 off. Spend £18 get 0p off. The offer was not designed for single people or couples. So are lots of other bargains. Life isn't fair. Shopping isn't fair. If it was this site would not exist.

The same thing happened to me today, but customer services were quite rude about it. I pointed out there was space in the leaflet were they could have put "keep your itemized receipt" but they have left out the word itemized i can only guess this is so they don't have to pay out, most people I know don't keep this part. Also what it says on the headed part of the itemized one about being week 1 etc is the same as the small receipt you get so it it easy to see why people think that would suffice as proof. The staff told me today quite a few people have done the same thing.

It's beacuse the offer by law cannot cover some items, baby formula for example.

I blame people too dim to follow instructions....

i was told the reason why they want the itemised receipts is so they can look at all the collected receipts when the promotion is over and see what food stuffs are popular, etc...its a way of gathering intelligence and that .....the card part obviously doesnt have a list of items bought......i got my voucher today xx thanks morrisons...

I think you'll find their computer system which tracks all purchases will tell them what they are selling.

    Conned yet again!

"To claim your voucher collect 4 seperate receipts, each worth £40 or more, multiple receipts from the same week are not permitted"

Not hard to grasp you would think....

I think I understand this now:- if you don't follow the instructions or don't understand them, it's a "con" - but when does this become a "scam" ?
