Panic Question Re Mortgage Repayment Protector Schemes

Apologies if this is not the right board to post this question in - please feel free to tell me if I should go elsewhere.
I'm having a major panic cos I took a second job a few weeks ago and don't know what my status is regarding my mortgage repayment protector scheme. I've had this at around £30/month since last April, and at the time I had one job only. To make ends meet I've taken a second part-time job, but I'm wondering what would happen if I were to lose my first job (something that's looking more and more likely). This second part-time job would IN NO WAY cover the mortgage.
In my panic I can't find the paperwork (I have asked for a copy of the policy to be sent to me) and I'm worried about asking the providers directly in case it gets them on to me.
Have I stitched myself up? Is anyone in a similar situation?
Thanks.
