Stakeholder or ISA Newbie

My partner is 50 earns about £25000 pa. Have to choose between stakeholder or ISA. Company pension not an option. New to all this seems very complicated. Thanks in advance.

    or personal pension or SIPP. Although we can almost certainly rule out SIPP as that is for experienced investors and personal pensions will give you more fund choice but if you are finding stakeholder complicated, then thats probably not the best option for you either. Though that really depends on whether you are seeking advice on best option overall or the best simple option.

    It is really impossible for us to say which is best for you as we dont know anything about your situation. It could be ISA. it could be pension or it could be a combination. The investment choices in the two are virtually identical so its really just a case of finding out which "tax wrapper" suits your needs.

    If you are finding it complicated then you really ought to consider independent advice.
