well not completely off subject but just got out of hospital after 2 days as my little lillie bubs (3mths old) has got bronculitis
since about wed last week bubs had a cold but on saturday afternoon she woke from her nap struggling for breath went to the a&e they diagnosed bronculitis and kept her in. she had to have constint oxygen as she couldnt breath on her own, seeing your 3mth old baby struggling for breath is so scary knowing theres nothing you can do. anyway after loads of drugs and oxygen she started to be able to breath proply herself and was allowed home.
we got home last night, shes doing ok now and has perked up so much which is brilliant. and eating well.
as alot of you know i have my court date on thursday for br(which comparing to situation with bubs is starting to looking like poping to the shops on the stressed out meter)
and just incase im not stressed out enough this week also bubs has got an appointment on friday as shes got a click on her hip so may have to wear a brace.
so probably the most stressful week of my life and its only tuesday
so im hoping by saturday bubs is feeling better, the BR went fine and bubs hip is ok
and ill be having an estatic xmas
i know this post should really be in a mum and baby forum so sorry just though id tell you im having abit of a bad week

Lisa no it shouldn't be anywhere else. You are part of our 'family' now and of course you should let us know what's happening.
Sorry to hear that your little one has been so ill, it is the most gut wrenching thing when that happens. Hope she is well soon.Namaste DeeDee x0 -
hi lisa
if i could i would reach out and hold you and stroke your cheek i would. what a time you are having and getting there even if you are wobbling. you will look back on all this next year and see how far you have come chucks.
just remember when you go to court on thursday there is a whole circle of us behind you cheering you on and if you fall we will all reach out and catch you
good luck girl. your time and emotional energy goes to little bubs right now and as you hold her safely in your arms you are holding each of both of you safe and warm and secure
take care fondly

Great news that the little one is on the mend..:j :j :j
Thursday will come and go...and the feeling of that wonderful court stamped peice of paper is undescribable:beer:   and being able to tell all the folk that have phoned you/wrote unfeeling letters etc in this debt free journey is wonderfully liberating. wish there was a2 finger salute emoticon to harassing debtors on the emoticons would be well used no doubt!!!
Lisa best wishes for Thursday and warmest hugs to you and the little one

I'm glad the little one is on the mend. It just goes to show you can't predict things. At least you are prepared for your BR and didn't leave everything to the last minute.
Good luck for Thursday - and also for Friday with the doctors.

Hello lovely,
Of course you've posted in the right place. So sorry to hear about all your woes. I've a theory that when things go wrong, they have to go wrong all in a nasty big bundle, so that when they go right, they're all alright. You will get through this, and so will Lilliebum. I remember how frightening it is when they're that small and that ill. My boy was in for three nights when he was 5 months old, suspected meningitis, actually just some mystery virus. He's now a strapping 8 year old, but it's an event I'll never forget. If Lillie starts rasping or barking again (croup-type sounds), of course you must get help and advice, but while you're waiting for that help or advice, it can be good to hold her on your shoulder, in the bathroom, while running a very hot shower. The steam can ease the rasping. It's a shame we're here, not there, but I'm sure we're all sending virtual cups of tea, hugs, shoulders to cry on, silly jokes, whatever you need.

thanks everyone. she went ill so quick she had a cold and abit of a cough for a few days and thought nothing of it as her big bro had the same. but she woke from her nap as she had been sleeping most of the day on and off and had abit of a temp so just thought it was the cold proper kicking in. but when she woke her voice sounded so rough and she was making a slight grunting noise when she breathed i kept an eye on it for about 45mins just makin sure im not some paranoid mother rushing her child to a&e over a sniffle. but when i got there she just seemed to get alot worse so i was glad i left when i did. theychecked her over and where she was having trouble breathing she didnt have enough oxygen in her blood and her heart rate was very very high as it was trying to help her breath. shes also got an infection aswell.
there was so many babies there with the same prob and she was trying to reasure me its very common and shell be fine
yep it certainly puts things in prospective.
i think thursday should be a breeze compared to these last few days
and thanks lilybart my 2 have never had croup so dont know what to do but will deffinalty try the steam thing.
gona google it now see any other home made advice i can use
thanks again
thanks everyone for your supportIf you want to see the rainbow ,you gotta put up with some rain0 -
Hi Lisa, I dont post on here often but felt i had to reply!
Know exactly how ur feelin, my youngest DS3 is 9months old (born 7 wks early so is really like a 7 mnth old) and was admitted with brochiolitus a few weeks back, he was discharged with inhalers that have helped alot since. DS1 (7) has had a sickness bug this week and been off school and is only just keeping down anything and DS2 (20mths) is teething and being a devil! on top of all this DS3 is going in for an op on thursday and i've gotta try and get everything ready for that!!!
It never ends!!!
Really hope you LO is feelin better soon...All the best for the court!
