Colour Schemes/wedding "themes"?

Ok my wedding isn't for 3 years, but I can't tell you how excited I am, and I've been going into wedding overdrive already.

I was thinking i'd quite like something unusual for my wedding (when I say theme I don't mean star trek or anything like that kind of theme!), but something like, for example, ocean themed (where the bridesmaids would be in blue dresses, we could get pebbles and write peoples names on for name cards, those chocolate seashells for favours..or does that sound naff?)

I'd really appreciate all your ideas (both of weddings in the past and those to come!) for some inspiration :o

Although it may be easy for me to say.......CALM DOWN!!! You have 3 years to go and although I think your idea is great you will go through many many idea changes between now and then! Be careful how far you go now as your, your bridesmaids, and everyone elses circumstances may change so do not plan too far in advance that you find yourself changing your mind.
I think seashells for place names is a total nouvelle idea tho - never seen or heard it done before.
