Hello all
As you can see from my username I'm a visitor from the Debt-Free wanabee board trying my best to cut back.
Wondered if anyone has tried home brewing kits, particulary lager, and whether:
a) it works out much less expensive than buying and
b) it tastes ok!
Thanks

My dad used to make a lot of home brew and it always looked like a scientific process using thermometers and condensers. There are however some simple homebrew kits available from this site:

I havn't tried them but someone else I know bought one for christmas and the lager tasted OK.2008 Comping ChallengeWon so far - £3010 Needed - £230Debt free since Oct 20040 -
Hi in*the*red
If you check our mega index (it's a sticky at the top of this board) in the cooking and recipes section there are a few older dicussions on homebrew listed in the drinks section.
Hope this helps you find some answers0
