The handbook provides in-depth information on how to minimise fire risks, how best to get a quick warning if one does start, and advice on how to plan what to do if faced with a real emergency. A further section helps you keep children safe from danger, and a contacts section at the back details a wide range of organisations who can provide further or specialist help.

This has been advertised on my tv as well, except it isn't even available in Scotland. Why are Scottish ITV running the adverts? Not fair. I don't want to sit and read it on the computer screen, I really wanted a hardcopy so that I could read it through at anytime.
Oh well.

Apparently we don't have house fires in Scotland! Actually I had a chimney fire just before Christmas, the fire fighters were here in record time (I live 15 miles from the nearest fire station), they sorted the fire out, left no mess and said they would send details re safety in the home - that took longer to arrive but I did get one.
