What is your usual pay date? There is no obligation on an employer to pay early when someone leaves employment.

Did you work your contractual notice period?
  • When I left my last job, on 20th of the month, I didn't get paid my final pay until the normal pay date of 30th month and received my P45 at the same time.

It might be worth checking your contract.

No. You are only entitled to get paid when your normal pay day is.

Oh, and can you turn your caps lock off please?

Yes, but there's no point shouting at US!

I've never worked anywhere where I got paid all I was owed on the last day I was there. Quite apart from anything else, if you go sick during your last week you won't be entitled to the same amount of money as if you work to the last day: it's very difficult to work it out in advance.

When would you normally be paid?
