retro PC games only 8p each at Gamestation

Just received my 4 games and I couldn't believe my eyes. I ordered World Championship Snooker(the first one) for 98p and they have sent me World Championship Snooker 2004! :rotfl: To put it into context here is a price comparison at Amazon:-

Also, WC Snooker 2004 is the 3rd in the series as opposed to the 1st.
The WC 2004 copy they have sent me has a different cover - it is black and white with Ronnie O'Sullivan on the front, and also it say's 'limited edition, not for resale' and 'promotional copy, not for resale'. Seems like they were possibly out of stock of WC Snooker and had a promotional copy of this one lying around so decided to send me this instead. When I told my wife she goes "Oh, you'll have to tell them" - my response - "I ordered WC Snooker and I got WC Snooker."

I was happy with the original 4 games but I'm even more happy with this result. I just looked on the Gamestation site and WCS2004 is £7.99 so whichever way I look at it, I got a result. Thanks to the OP for letting us all know about this sale, I wouldn't have known anything about it otherwise. :T

my order arrived:
rollercoaster tycoon 2 box actually contained wacky worlds expansion pack and not the game it should have.
One game missing ( letter in envelope says its out of stock), but they have taken full amount.

They are not exactly the sharpest kids on the block are they !!!
Lets see if i get any response to my enquiry.

Be aware, I loaded Comanche onto my comp, decided not to register and then all the Spycatcher warnings started to come up. It seems that spyware comes free with, at least, this copy of a Novalogic game. Nervous about loading any more, certainly won't be giving to grandson. It took Spycatcher and MS Spyware remover to get rid of them.

Odd times spyware catchers and so on mistake game files and other things as spyware.

I remember hearing that the BETA of microsofts virus checker actually detected another Microsoft program as a virus!

But if thats not the case complain to the makers and possibly gamestation.

Done a such for the internet for them. Seems we're not the only ones not happy. Lots of people complaining about customer service, no responces etc.

Received a letter Friday thanking me for my recent order but informing me that they have been unable to process one of my orders.

Rang them up and they finally answered - there was a massive responce to the offer and it sounds like anyone that order a few copies (such as myself) of the same type of game it was noted and basically we got left out. (Unofficial verdict, but thats what it sounded like as they was a note on my account apparently).

Another order for some PS2 games hasnt arrived and has apparently been despatched. I have to wait until Monday for them to arrive (10 working days since despatch) when they will start to trace it with the Royal Mail for lost goods. They may then be able to source the products for me from elsewhere, but they were ps2 games for £1.99 so its doubtful... and ive also got to try and get through to them!

He was having problems on the phone due to the "back office" of the website not working - although did solve my logging in issue (whoops, I put the wrong email address. I have 2 main addresses, and put the first part of one with the 2nd part of another. LMAO)

Stocktake currently going on - will be finished Mon/Tues apparently.

Very disapointed all in all. 2 orders, no games received as yet.

I think they were trying putting a block on traders buying all the stock so that they get as many new customers registerd as possible. For everyone here who admits bulk buying I bet there are a few lurkers who don't!
