Anyone shop from Ikea?

Would love to buy some stuff from Ikea but don't know the cheapest way to go about it. Has anyone done this recently and if so, can you let me know how you went about it? I've done the bus trip thing in the past (ferry from Belfast to Stranraer and bus to Braehead, Glasgow) but it was a nightmare of a journey. Its furniture I'm buying so nothing that can be posted. Thanks

Just working on my order now (bought catalogue on Ebay) and will be emailing it to them this afternoon. Am expecting the charges to be extortionate but who knows....

My order consisted of five items of furniture, two lamps and 5 cushions totalling £760. They have quoted me £190 for delivery. Its steep but not as steep I suppose as travelling over and all the hassle etc.
  • I cant believe that people are selling ikea catalogues on ebay talk about ripping people off its ridiculous...if you need one Polly let me know and i will post it free

Thanks! But technically, he was not selling the catalogue (although others were). The catalogue was free and I paid £1.75 for postage.

    Hi,
If you look on the website you can actually order the catalogue (but you do have to pay 2£ so you got a better deal):

Customers who wish to receive a catalogue by post should do the following. (Please note that we only deliver to addresses within the UK and ROI For those who wish to receive a catalogue outside the UK and ROI visit your local IKEA website.)

    1. Write to this address:

    The Water Mill
    Broughton Hall Business Park
    Skipton
    BD23 3AG

    2. Enclose a cheque payable to "IKEA Catalogue" for £2.

    3. Enclose a note with the name and address of where it should be sent.

    4. Allow two weeks for delivery from date of posting initial request.
