Ok STP'rs heres a question for ya.

Is it possible to command a full time wage from STP. The national minimum wage for over 22yrs is £5.73ph but you are taxed on this.

I used www.listentotaxman.com and worked out by putting in £5.73 as the hourly wage on a 37.5 hour working week you would earn £183.03 per week after tax. I then divided this by 37.5 hours to get what your hourly rate is after tax has been deducted i calculated £4.88ph

To earn this on STP at 4 stars (10p a track) you would have to rate 49 tracks over an hour. So to meet this you would have to rate a track in 1.22 mins a track.

On 5 stars (12p per track) you would have to rate 41 tracks to acheive this giving you 1.41 mins to rate per track.

So is it fesiable that once you've worked your way up the ladder on STP you could make yourself the equivilant of a full time income?

I dont think it is possible to bring in as much as you would working 37.5 hours a week on the minimum wage, however there are like myself Uni students living off loans etc.. that being able to dedicate that amount of time from the comfrot of your own PJ's etc.. that could bring in an income close to it.

    Could I join please? :)

Just joined STP last night, looked at it properly today, and it looks like it could become very addictive!
I believe I have to make my first £5.00 in vouchers first before I can start making any real money, but hopefully I'll have done that by 1st Jan, and can start the challenge at the same date as everyone else.

    I think I'll go for £50 and anything I make I'll throw towards CC1 :T

  • From what you have worked out lauren it looks very true but even if you don't make the full weekly wage you could still make a fair amount to pay some of your bills so you have money left each month.

  • I thought I would go for £1200 this year and spend it on the following:
    £250 for christmas next year
    £500 for my holiday
£450 for my ISA plus put in my sealed pot money in as well as start of a deposit for a house (so sick of renting)
My ISA already has £150 a month going in so thats why I started this thread to give myself some motivation for earning the money I want.

  • Think everyone needs motivation with STP, it can be an insult to the ears. I swear at times my brains have started to dribble out on days its been nothing but dance tracks and rap! But I focus on the cash and I always managemy £1 a day target
