That's the one! Thanks Pink, couldn't remember where it was but knew it was somewhere I don't go very often ...

Also didn't notice until today there's a chocaid site where the person you're buying for gets chocolate as well as help going to people who need it: must check it out ...

  • i cant think of anything to get my 55 year old mum for xmas.

She is one of these people who gives you no clue what so ever.  I dont want to get her anything related to the kitchen (bread maker etc) as she always gets this sort of stuff and it is pretty degrading.  If my mum kept buying me stuff to do with the garden or for maintaing the car for xmas i think i would disown her!!!

    I am really stumped

Has anybody got any suggestions? Maybe things you have your mum for example.

My mum is same age as yours and if she is anything like my mum she will be a fan of 'Shirley Valentine' which has finally just come out on DVD, she will be well pleased:

    Helo  ;D

Every year it is a struggle to buy my mum something for Christmas. I've tried all the usual gift vouchers for beauty, manicures, scholl shop - foot manicures, theatre tickets, one hour lesson in a plane etc etc.

This year I asked her again what she wanted & again she said she really didn't need anything.

So... this year I have purchased a goat on her behalf for a family in  Africa. This will include a lesson in husbandry to care for the goat, it will provide milk for the family, enable them to breed with other goats so can provide meat etc

    The site is worldgifts.cafod.org.uk. :D

I did ask her about it first and she was thrilled!  ;D
You can order online too. I'll be able to give her a card & certificate detailing all this on Christmas morning. For those who are difficult to please or who have everything I think this is a wonderful solution. :)
    Good luck whatever you choose!
