Has anyone or does anyone know of a recipe for stollen scones? We have seached the internet for recipes but have not found one. Apparently John Lewis make them!!

Could you not just make a fruity, spicy scone mix and put some marzipan in the middle? I bet you could roll the dough out fairly thinly, cut out your circles, egg wash them and then put a little ball of marzipan and another scone on top. Or, you could freeze the marzipan, cube it up finely and mix it in with the scone dough ... scones don't cook for that long anyway so I doubt it'd go blobby. Or you could make a big scone 'roll', and put the marzipan in the middle ... Lol, I might just have to have a go now!0

This sounds yum, much easier than messing about with bread dough, although the bread one keeps for a long time, as it's enriched"Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad"
