I thought about starting one of these, like having three pots for gold, copper and silver and then putting all change under £2 leftover in my purse into them.
However I googled terramundi and they are £14? Not very money saving if I have to smash them! Anyone got any alternatives? I like the whole clay.terracotta.pottery thing

I saw some terramundi 'fakes' in my local clintons.......9.99 or a pottery pot (???!!!??) in poundworld....not sealed but with a cork top.
I have a terramundi coming for christmas and when its time to smash it I am going to do it very very carefully and use it as a plant pot after. Have you checked out the sealed pot challenge? There are many papier mache pig experts there!LBM 10/08 £12510.74/0 -
There is a thread on here with instructions on making a papier mache piggy, from a balloon covered in papier machie using bits of egg cartons for feet and a snout.
When dry and painted, a slot can be cut in the top.
Have a look on the sealed pot challenge, there may be a link on there.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no: 203.0 -

If you have a B&M bargains store nearby they currently have terramundis in at £3.99.
I got mine as a pressie last year and this year my OH carefully drilled a circle of small holes in the bottom so I could get my cash out then re use it, just stuck some duct tape on bottom and is good as new.0 -
