Hi guys......ok im 26 years old and i take home £328 a week and out of that after all my debts are paid off i will see £10 to live on.......out of this non is saved for my future.... i still live at my parants house and am £22,000 in debt

we are still new to all this but there is loads of people on here with great advice.

do you pay you parents board or are you rent free.

i pay my parants 30 pound a week they are both retired and dont earn that much and it makes me feel ill the fact that the bank takes all my money off me (my fault i know)..............i know appretiate the value of money the 10 a week i have spare now goes a long way

what you are best off doing is to put your state of affairs on here i know that sounds really public but it is how people can help you.

we are doing our debt management plan with payplan but there is also cccs and the citizens advice bureau.

i hope you don't mind me asking but is your debt all with one place.

i started a new job earning £21,000 a year after earning £120 a week for a plastics firm......i had no debt ant it all accumulated in the past year

the first pay cheque i had went into my account that i had since i was little and hardly used so that 300 odd pounds was all mine and i didnt owe any one an my parants were so proud because they never earned as much as i do in there life



thats when the banks started ringin

on the day we phoned payplan we had a statement from c/c and can you believe that they were upping our credit limit. if you go on our thread you will see we owe 82k but they were offering us more.

the more you have the more they give you. you must say NO

£2300 car finance black horse
£2700 hsbc credit card
£250 barclays overdraft
£290 hsbc overdraft was £800 took me 12 weeks to get it back to £290
£15,000 hsbc loan for a car that was knackered and car company went bust
£3000 student loan pay £22 a week out of wages

bloody ell pretty bad

ok the £15,000 has a pay it off price of £11,000 im hoping to sell my car and slowly save that amount up that will leave me with 300 a month more and no finance to pay so 100 from that

don't do anything rash we still have car finance and payplan took that into account.

do you need the car for work

i would really recommend you speak to someone before doing anything. both website addresses are on this website and they have phones on 24 hours usually. they won't make you feel bad just listen and give you the best advice.

What happened to the car on the £15000 loan? Was the loan secured on the car or was it done as a standard unsecured loan?
