Dial-4-a-loan details? Paragon PPi claiming

Hi, I wrote my first letter to reclaim PPi on a secured loan I had with Paragon Finance. The loan ran from Jan 2001 to Aug 2004. I paid for PPi upfront (£3720) on the £24k loan. On settling the loan I got a PPi refund of £399.12 which seems quite low. I have since read the ts & cs properly and the PPi was only valid for the first 60 months of the loan anyway, which I didn't realise when I took the loan out, and also I already had income protection at the time with a separate insurer, which would have covered my loan payments anyway. I got the PPi ts & cs at the same time as I got the credit agreement to sign, and I should have received it beforehand. I think I didn't ask for the PPi and it was on the credit agreement, and because I needed the loan quickly I just signed the credit agreement and sent it off.
Problem is now, Paragon say I was sold the loan and PPi through Dial 4 a Loan limited, and I should write to them. Firstly, I could say to Dial 4 a Loan that I was mis-sold the PPi and go down that route, but also I want Paragon to tell me how they worked out the final PPi refund figure, as I think it should have been higher.
Next problem, I cannot seem to find contact details on the internet for Dial 4 a loan limited. Do they still exist?

Hi there hun and yes that is correct, you do actually go through the ones who arranged the loan/ppi for you, so as you did with Paragon, send the letter to Dial 4 a loan.
Do you know if Dial 4 a loan are still active?
I will check this out in the meantime, and if you require further help on this matter, there is also a separate thread for this.
Click on loans, then on top of that page you will find the thread called
    "PPI Reclaim Discussion thread".;)

Please feel free to ask any further questions on this.

    Good luck

Hi, I don't know if Dial 4 a Loan Ltd are still active. I googled them and got a page full of other loan companies' links. I also emailed Paragon to see if they have the info.
    Thanks for your help :o

Hi, thanks for finding that address for me! I'll send a recorded letter just in case there's a problem with the office. Paragon emailed me and said that Dial-4-a-loan were bought out by Welcome Finance. So I might cc them a letter just in case.

Wish me luck! Had a good day today, got £30 for my old mobile phone (thanks to Martin!), then got asked for ID buying alcohol in Sainsbury's (I'm 35!!). Just need one more thing to go right...

    :p

With pleasure hun and yes you do that CC Welcome a letter as well - that way your covering it all ways.....:D ;) .
Good luck and WOW, you have had a good day today £30 for an old moby, well done.....:T :T  , and being asked for ID at the age of 35, WOW, you must look young for your age then.:D ;) .

I hit the BIG 40 this year........ , but received a lovely comment from an elderly lady from down the local shops, last year my son who was then going on 19, well she thought he was my brother, so whether or not this was meant to be a comment for me or an insult for my son is your guess as much as mine pmsl......:rotfl: :rotfl: :D .

Good luck with this anyway hun, maybe you will get lucky with this too, fingers crossed and please let us know how you get one and keep at them.:A
