National Shopping Monitor - anyone use this?

sorry if this is in the wrong place but i have just received my home shopping monitor from https://www.nationalshoppingmonitor.com - does anyone use this already? it gives you points every month for giving in your shopping details and then you transfer the points into vouchers for argos etc.

how good do you rate it?

I have been with them for over a year now. They are very reliable and very friendly, with great customer services if you ever have a problem.

You can get the equivalent of £120 per year in points by scanning your shopping, birthday and xmas bonuses and surveys. Each time I have requested vouchers they have arrived within a couple of days.

As far as I know some areas have a waiting list and I have been asked in the past to nominate friends, but, have only ever been asked to nominate people with children under 4, so, this must be one of their low demographics or something.

I too received an invitation in the post and filled out the form, why I got invited I don't know, but, I'm not arguing.:D

  • Hi Funkymonkey
I know this is an old post but just had to put in my twopence worth. I have been with national shopping monitor for a very long time. Cant remember how long but must be at least 8 years. And I love it. I have alwaysfound their helpline really good and also the line that used to deal with their vouchers. everything happened as they said it would. Not had any dodgy events such as some as mentioned with their computer going funny. Its been great to spend the vouchers. I use it to treat myself with stuff that I would never buy. Such as top of the range mobile phone, Sony cd player, heart rate monitor for the gym. Too many to count. But its fun spending them. And they can build up quickly. They sometime have additional ways of building up the points such as getting points on tv watching. I messed up on mine as they wanted to monitor meridian Tv and I kept forgetting to put it on so No sooner was I on it ( getting extra points) I was then removed ( therfore losing the potential for extra points) I only found about the TV monitoring when I rang them to ask if they were other ways to increase the points. Also you get extra points when you complete their additional surveys.
Hopefully by now you will be enjoying the benefits of national home shopping
    see ya
  • I've just got my invitation and after reading this forum I have now joined and looking forward to my welcome pack! I have a child under four years so this could be why they select us!! I will let you know what happens and how I get on with it. I thought it was a scam, so thankyou to whoever started this topic for clearing this up for me!!
    Happy shopping everyone!!!!!

I have been thinking of giving it up after two years. We get about £80 per year and the vouchers are here within days. However, it does get timeconsuming and after a hard days work and getting some shopping its become the last thing I want to do. My friend does shop and scan which sounds a bit different but even that seems like hard work. I know it seems like all you have to do is scan your shopping for a reward but the reward is not that good to be honest.

  • I've been doing NSM for about 3 years now and i've just bought my ds's their xmas pressies with my woolies vouchers. I had £150 worth as I also do the food diaries 2 or 3 times a year and this gives extra pts too. I've never had a problem except batteries running out and would recommend it. however as someone else said, i joined because i received a card through the post inviting me. I'm also with consumer pulse which is also part of TNS and have rec £30 of vouchers since Aug. :money:

I've been with National Shopping Monitor for about 4 years and highly recommend it. My PDA has died on me, but a quick phone call and they're sending out another. Vouchers always arrive within a few days and are available for a range of shops (Debenhams, Argos, JJB Sports, etc as well as donations to charity).

Fill in the form at the link below and request the National Shopping Monitor panel at the bottom. If you have space in your area, they'll be in touch with you but it may take a few weeks.
