Keep my Standard Life Endowment or Sell IT?

My standard life endowment is worth about £35,000 to cash in. If I keep it (red alert) it could make £65,000 in 17 years time. It should have been able to repay my endowment mortgage of £99,000 originally at end of term. Would you sell it and invest the £35 grand somehow or hang on to it (we got £3000 via the fsa for being mis=sold this about 4 yrs ago by the way). We have changed recently to a part repayment fixed rate mortgage and the endowment is still part of the package.
