  • Apparently you can be Financially disassociated with your current spouse providing you have not ever made a joint application or ever held a joint bank account or mortgage.

I have been wondering about something for a while my husband has a lot of debt that he doesnt deal with (I know I know but you can only advise so much) Our house and everything in it is mine - can anyone take anything from the house if it is mine? We are financially disassociated from each other through experian. Its something that has bugged me for years so I thought I would ask

Bailiffs can only remove goods that belong to the person who owes the debt.

However, were a bailiff to call, how would you prove that your husband doesn't at least part-own the goods in the house?
If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything
