How safe it this?

Hi
I am not sure if I am on the right board but here goes. I have been reading the boards for months and made loads of savings(thanks everyone!!).I am now wanting to sign up for one of the DVD trials and take advantage of their free period. I just wondered how safe it is to put your visa electron details on? I have always hated filling anything in where i had to put my bank details(especially the 3 digit number on the strip!)
Advice please?
Thanks
xx

I think one of the board guides might move this as its not really relevant to debt free wannabee.
I have visa electron, but mine doesn't have the three sec. numbers. I use it all over the net with no trouble. I wondered if perhaps you are not a net shopper whcih is why you feel a bit concerned?
If you feel worried, do you have a credit card you can use to register with, at least you have some come back if something goes wrong.
I'm also addicted to renting dvds! At first I went through around 6 months of free trials and then began to pay for lovefilm. I then swapped to screenselect for a bit. Went back to lovefilm as they tempted me back with a buy one month get one free offer.
Here's a thread you may/may not have read on dvd rental.0 -
Ive just signed up for free dvds for a month and am confident my details should be ok
Im pretty sure that you will be covered against anything untowards on your CC if anything goes wrong
Also it is the companies responsibilty to keep these records private so if anything was leaked from there end then i can smell a lawsuit0
