I was having a bit of a clear out this afternoon and came across a black leather look skirt, which still fitted me......trouble is where it's been folded up there are creases in the fabric...
The label says don't iron, and I didn't want to hang the skirt on the radiator to warm up in case it took on the pattern of the radiator panel. Any suggestions on how I can get the creases out would be welcomed.
I might also want to shorten it or even take it in a bit so if any one has any tips that would be lovely

What is the backing on the skirt? I would be tempted to iron it inside out with a towel between the iron and the skirt so that you don't apply direct heat. Or how about trying a hairdryer?I like to live in cloud cuckoo land :hello:0

To shorten the skirt I would be tempted to use a waterproof glue, eg bostick. Leather hems are often stuck rather than sewn, and it would save the problem of making holes in the fabric which might then stretch.
If you do want to machine sew it then I would use quite large stitches so that the holes are not too close together.0 -
I would get the crease out by putting one of those clip-on hangers on either side of it, hanging it up somewhere by one and attaching somethign a bit weighty to the one that hangs under the garment IYKWIM so that it is under a bit of tension. I wouldn't risk ironing it at all, even under towels etc.
If you wore it around the house a bit the crease would probably go? Or place it flat under some heavy books. And when you store it next time, roll it0
