Reading threads like this makes me realise how nothing has changed.

Brit posts something, it gets torn to shreds in 5 minutes, downey posts a load of rubbish (albeit on a different ID) and then it gets boring.

So my dog was right all along when he said it would be much better to take him for a walk rather than waste my time on here

Problem is that he is on a diet as he has recently gone up to 31 from 29kg. He'll have to make do with a belly rub.

Yes, Jonny remembers every little thing that was posted on here years ago. He even imagines everyone else does, and cares about it to.

That's because Jonny doesn't have a much of a life. And/or a phenomenal memory, which is clearly wasted remembering trivia off this forum.

A minority would be affected. Some would throw in the towel - no problem for a wiley street smart b2ler, soemwould get help from parents, some would cough up. Others would simply sell up.

Hello carolt. I see you're busy demonstrating what a valuable and reasonable contributor you are again.

Someone who has time and again been found making unwarranted and unprovoked personal slurs.
    Another bad day carolt?

    Yes, lousy.

But at least I'm on here doing my civic duty, so it's not time wasted.

The thread on Lloyds asking people who have an IO only mortgage about plans to repay the capital reminded me of this non-event.

No noise. Quietly getting on with the job.

LLOYDS BANKING GROUP – INTERIM MANAGEMENT STATEMENT

Good trading performance with guidance reaffirmed
The Group is continuing to see good income growth on a combined businesses basis (excluding the impact of liability management exercises). In particular, margin improvements have more than offset the impact of asset reductions over the last year.
Overall banking margins are trending positively and we continue to be confident of delivering a circa 2 per cent margin for the full year.
Income in the Group’s core banking businesses has continued to benefit from higher asset pricing and lower funding costs. Good progress continues to be made in improving the quality of both
sides of our balance sheet as we continue to grow our customer relationship focused assets and deposits, whilst running down our non-core assets.
