Had too Many searches on my File

Hi
I was stupid to have too many searches done at the same time applying for a few credit cards and loans - I have now badly damaged my record, all my cc and loan payments are update and I have never made any late payments, but I am showing 8 searches in the past 8 months and my rating is now very poor, how long do the searches stay on your file.
Thanks in advance for your help

Basically the credit companies can see from your file that your accounts are managed responsibly (no late payments) but at the moment your 8 searches in a short time are giving the impression that you're currently desperate, which on your file is "not a good look".
The searches will be visible on your file for six years, but that doesn't mean they'll be seen as adversely affecting your creditworthiness for all that time. Give it six months or so, then try applying for things again, no more than 2 a month.Operation Get in Shape

Searches are ony normally visible for 1 year from the date of search, but as Bargain Rzl says most lenders will only be interested in the last 6 months as far as searches go. It’s hard enough remembering my opinions - without remembering my reasons for them :rolleyes:0 -
I'm pretty sure the searches are only on the credit report for 12 months...
You maybe getting confused with defaults or settled accounts that are on the file for 6 years.

Searches get removed from you file after 12 months,
The credit file is split into two headings 'searches in the last 6 months' and 'Pervious'
After 6 month your searches will go.0
