what to get husband, late 50's?

I'm all out of ideas what to get my husband, late 50's, for Christmas. He's impossible to buy for and even our grown up kids have been pestering me for some indication of what he'd like.

He works long hours, doesn't do sports, or the gym as his 12 hour shifts leave no time for any of that. No interest in fashion, no hobbies as such apart from fishing when he gets the chance in the summer months. He likes his TV like most men, and we have Sky, and he likes surfing the internet too, and walking our dogs. Drives a 9 year old car as he says there's no point in getting a newer model because the dogs can be messy and muddy after a walk. I've got him a few bits and pieces, shirts, some good brandy and such, but I'm desperate for some ideas for a gift he might really like.

We've been married 37 years and this must be the first year I'm totally stumped.

Please help!!!!!! Less than 2 weeks to go:eek:

    Sat nav? Men like gadgets.
  • video camera. I second gadgets. or didital camera. That way he can record the one that got away. If he likes fishing could you get him an annual subscription to Angling Times?

  • How about a voucher for a local fishing tackle shop? I think the Angling Times subscription would be great, I'm going to pinch this idea for my DH's birthday in February.

He already has a sat nav and uses his phone for videos, but the Angling magazine subscription's a great idea, thanks!!!

The wet weather gear is good too, I'll look into that.

    Thanks guys!
