But you don't get to *choose* between IPA and BRO. You have a choice not to work. But if you work and don't tell them about extra income, then, as Skylight says, you may well end up with a BRO and an IPA/IPO. Do the math before making the decision about doing the job.

I kind of agree, that for most a BRO/U is a slap on the wrist.

But. Anything can happen. Lets face it - 3 years ago, did you expect to be here on a BR forum?? So how do you know whats going to happen to your life in 3 years time? A BRU could seriously mess up your life with regards to jobs, credit file etc in the future although it would barely make a difference right now.

Its all ifs and buts. But its also something that should be avoided if possible. Most people want the BR over and done with, out of the way, move on. A BRU will restrict that.

No LilyBart, you dont get to choose between an IPA and a BRO. But given the choice between the two. Give me a BRO anyday. Given the BROs limited restrictions that do not make one jot of a difference to my post BR life, its a chance I will weigh up. I understand where you are coming from. My angle is slighty different, thats all.

True Skylight, I guess none of us would envisage we would be here now. But as we are, just tossing round a few ideas into the melting pot. I agree we all want the BR to end and get on with our lifes. I guess in the end we all want the easy routes out. Thanks for the advice

Since this is about an IPA now, I have a question. another one!

If you get an IPA, say three months before AD. Does it still run for a full 36 months or will it just run for 27 months making it three years altogether from date of BR to the end of IPA?

Probably a silly question but I thought I would ask?

Thank you for that, I am not expecting an IPA but I would like to know just in case the OR cuts back enough to try and give me one.

But even so, I would rather pay for three years rather than the 60+ years it would have taken me on the cccs dmp plan to repay it. I would have had to live until i was 90! :rotfl:
