Endowment Docs Question

Hello All,
I have complained about the misselling of my endowment and they have not upheld my complaint.
My reason for misselling was that no other mortgages were discussed with me and the documents that they say were provided with me now magically has an extra page showing what a repayment mortgage would cost. I was never given this page and have the original which was stapled by them only showing the details for an endowment!
I need to know what documentation they now hold, can I request my entire file including a letter from the adviser confirming that he did discuss a repayment mortgage with me?
Thanks

Yes you can request it but you may not get it and they do not need to supply it. In the words of a judge ruling on a recent case where someone tried to obtain documents quoting the data protection act as their rights: " The purpose of the act is not to assist [a data subject] to obtain discovery of documents in litigation or complaints against third parties."I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). This page magically appearing happened to my parents aswell!! They complained as there £40k endownment was falling short by approx £10k if i remember right, however when they got the reply it had all this paperwork saying that other options were discussed etc when they were not.. Any way they cashed in the policy and paid it off the mortgage and then converted to a repayment mortgage.
Ok, question is can they complain again? I'm guessing not as the company who sold it have paperwork saying that other options were discussed..
Thanks to all that can help..2014 running challenge 587.4 miles / 250 miles0 -
This is not an unknown scenario. Some pages do appear once the complant is made. Can you pm me with details of advising company and dates of complaint I may be able to provide some notes or pointers of where to go0
