I was charged postage but I did check the giftwrapping boxes and that service came up with no extra charge, so I am having the 4 items that I ordered giftwrapped and sent back to me ready to give (with smug look on face) on the various occasions for which they were ordered...ideal for those members of the family for whom I do not have something stashed away courtesy of Boots, that is!

The Goldsmiths website says:
At Goldsmiths.co.uk we want you to be delighted every time you shop with us. Occasionally though, we understand that you may wish to return items.
Items can be returned direct to Goldsmiths.co.uk within 30 days*, using the detachable address slip at the bottom of the despatch note.
When returning goods to Goldsmiths.co.uk the item(s) must be in their original packaging, unused and accompanied by the detachable address slip at the bottom of the despatch note.
Goldsmiths.co.uk cannot accept returns of earrings or cleaning products if the tamper-proof packaging has been opened. This is due to hygiene reasons and does not affect your statutory rights.
Alternatively, purchases may be returned to one of our 170 Goldsmiths stores (excluding outlets and airports). The store will then return the item(s) to Goldsmiths.co.uk on your behalf. Once the items have been received by Goldsmiths.co.uk you will then be given a refund or an exchange.
When returning items to one of our stores, the item(s) must be in its original packaging, unused and accompanied by the whole despatch note and the completed detachable address slip at the bottom of the despatch note.
For your benefit and security in the event of a return we recommend that you send the goods back to Goldsmiths.co.uk by Royal Mail Special Delivery. This will ensure proof of delivery and insurance of the goods whilst they are in transit.
...so you should be OK to exchange it if it doesn't fit. If you buy it in a 'real' store you only get 14 days to exchange it.0 -
pain that some of the watches dont have pictures or that they don't list the model details. i looked in my local store but no fendi watches there so cannot try them out and dont really want to buy 4-5 in case their returns process isnt so straightfwd0

Does she have any dress jewellery, such as rings she wears just going out? Swipe one and use that! If its for a different finger then maybe get a size smaller. 9 times out of 10 they need to be resized anyway.0 -

Goldsmith's seem to be quite good with returns - I took a watch to one of their stores and they issued a refund - no questions asked!0 -

anyway, i got a watch online today from this place, the one i wanted (the nautica with the leather strap for £35) was out of stock , the annoying thing was i went to merry hill shopping centre today and could have just gone into the shop and got one without having to pay delivery and would have it there and then.what is the plural of moose?

My 4 items arrived this morning by Special Delivery. Each is beautifully gift-wrapped in Goldsmiths paper and ribbon with matching gift-tags (that they have even written my messages on!) I feel the need to look at the gifts but it seems a shame to unwrap them. Most impressed with the speed of service and the free gift wrap!0

Why not do what my husband well not at the time he was not. He took an old ring from the draw and got me my engagement ring all by his self.
The other thing to do is to while she is doing a dirty job or the washing up offer to take her rings for her and then walk away from her and try one on. Then go to the shop and they will measure your finger for you and then you have the right size.
