Surely the point is that the journalist didn't notice the story of the philandering Prime Minister, rather than the Prime Minister not noticing the drug taking journalist!!
Actually come to think of it, they both sound rather like "dog bites man" stories....0 -
I love Will Self's Writing.
I have had Manflu for 2 days now and am seriously ill and depressed. I haven't had a cold for 6 years. I never get them.
As it is Manflu, I am now stressing that it will turn into fully blown ME (I had a customer who this happened to) and I will never, ever feel able to do anything at all ever again....and that's my little life, over, done for, swallowed up by the credit crunch.
One of the symptoms of Manflu is feeling very sorry for oneself. So, I have had 2 brandies mixed with some very worthy, local ginger cordial stuff and I am off to bed (with Mr Ginger, the illegal cat) to watch my hero, Will self on Q Time...thanks for the reminder on here. (I don't have telly reception)0 -

Feel very sorry for you fc, but how can you have manflu if you're not a man? It is a specialist virus you know.0 -
Manflu is now the official 'brand' name of a cold that is the worst cold anyone can ever, ever have plus it's side effects are the moaning and whinging sounds that come out of the mouth mid sniffle/cough.
Will self didn't get much of a look in ...and he'd been reading up on quantitive easing too.....but he got some key points in. He's sooo, soooo...mysterious IYKWIM.;)
The botox babe was a bit lightweight.
