Debt free HOORAY !:T :A Years from now it won't matter what kind of car we drove, what kind of house we lived in, how much money we had in the bank, nor what our clothes looked like but the world may be a little better because, we were important in the lives of our children.

I would recommend sterling house excellent bikes at excellent prices, but they did let me down 2 weeks before christmas by sending the wrong BIKE!! I was so anrgy because it was ordered mid nov and showing as in STOCK , to be fair they did send replacement more expensive bike...(charged no extra)
I did see wilkinsons had 12" for £17 not a bad bike, also saw thread here somewhere for winnie the pooh £17 think it was empire stores ??
I purchased one from argos in the end TONKA paid £50 though  but very good quality bike with 2 brakes... :TI would love to be a Travel Agent :j0 -
We just got an Action Man bike from Halfords that was £80 down to £63 for a 16" wheel and good sturdy construction. Cheaper prices (I think) for smaller wheel sizes. Check out the website - good luck! https://www.halfords.com0

I got a really good raleigh one for my son for his 3rd birthday from a bike shop that sold on ebay but it was a proper shop as well, but great for me as i lived no where near the shop! Havn't got the details anymore but search on ebay and i'm sure you'll find a few bike shops, i think i paid about £35 inc delivery, for a new raleigh bike, not bad!!0

B_B, 2 things, we picked up the last 3 bikes for our daughter as give aways from various places, keep an eye out in papers etc. As you say they only need them for a couple of years so you can pick up some really cheap and decent ones...
Oh and please stay away from discount bikes, I bought a bike from them and they shafted me on a warranty repair...
