argos. item not as described

Hi hope this is the right section.

we bought a christmas tree off of argos and when we got it we realised it was black!!! not green. also some of the decorations that came with the tree were smashed. as a result of this argos have offered a £15 pound discount on the price we poaid for it a week ago. but we can now see on line it has been reduced by another 20 pounds cheaper.
can i now get the tree any cheaper????????????

If not just take it back for a refund then buy a tree you want.

i thought argos had a 16 day return policy?

No return policy on Christmas trees and decs - otherwise you could use them and return them!!

However, it was not as described and damaged so you should have been able to return it for a full refund - UNLESS you have taken the discount you were offered, in which case you have now accepted it. If you haven't, ask for a full refund.

Take it back and say you just opened it up today and found some parts are broke chances are they won't have a replacement and refund you as the website is showing.
