bad credit help

hi....can anyone give me any advice....

ive got a number of debts which for quite a while i couldnt pay and they are now with debt collection agencies where i pay off money every month and have everything under control...however i still have bad credit...

ive got a basic bank account with cash card but not debit card or cheque book...and have been turned down for these with my bank (royal bank of scotland)

however i really could do with a debit card, just simply for buying stuff online etc..

does anyone know how or if i could get an account that will give me an account with a debit card?

long shot i know but all help appreciated...

thanks!

Natwest do a Step Up account which gives you a Solo card and periodically reviews your account, upgrading as time goes on. Sis in law has one and has no problem shopping online with it.

Barclays and Halifax Basic Bank accounts issue VISA Electron debit cards which alot of places will take online.
