There is the risk that the lender credit checks the applicants again before completion and withdraws the mortgage.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. this all sounds horribly dodgy, not to mention quite possible fraudulent....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

I hope this was not as sarcastic as it sounds, NDG is a respected barrister round these parts, I certainly wouldn't ignore her legal advice.I think....0 -

Must admit that confuzzled me too PN....We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -

I was trying, politely, to suggest that lying to everyone left, right and centre in order to get the mortgage might not be the brightest idea you've ever had....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

I wasn't, though, giving legal advice (-:
I don't know enough about all the circumstances, but on the face of it, sounds dodgy as hell....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

Your situation isn't a nice one to be in, however, what people are saying (including NDG) is that there is possibly a high risk involved with what you're doing. If this does get found out, you may as well forget any house at all. You will be prosecuted, how will that look on any job applications, how will your credit file look?
People are basically saying don't go through with this, try to get it all done off your own back so to speak.
There would be nothing stopping boyfriend (or ex) "grassing you up" at a later date as well. Not meaning to be nasty here, but it sounds like his word is as good as a chocolate fireguard. My suggestion and/or advice is my own and it is up to you if you follow it, please check the advice given before acting on it.0 -
And it confused me too, have you moved in?My suggestion and/or advice is my own and it is up to you if you follow it, please check the advice given before acting on it.0
