Have any of you lot actually played this game?

I've got it and have to say I cant see what all the fuss is about. I CERTAINLY wouldnt be paying £49.99 for it, thats just a rip off.

On a side note, memorybits.co.uk emailed me today saying they are doing an R4 card with a 2gb memory card for £20 delivered. You can get them slightly cheaper if you dont mind waiting for them to come from hong kong. Luckily, I've already got mine!

  • Agree, some thought provoking puzzles but a tedious game on the whole.

How can they charge £49.99 for a DS game? That's truly excessive.

No wonder everyone is buying R4s or CycloDSs and using websites for free games.

Games manufacturers need to start charging more realistic prices for games. I know Amazon and so on offer some good deals. But unless the manufacturers start being more realistic, more and more consumers are going to get used to downloading games for free and stop buying them. This applies to all consoles - Wii, PSP, Xbox, DS, PC and so on.

    £49? Have a look at this http://www.amazon.co.uk/Professor-Layton-Curious-Village-Nintendo/dp/B000U5W3IW/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=videogames&qid=1229112349&sr=8-1

£95.99!!!! That is just taking the P:mad:

I think Nintendo are very clever at marketing, release just enough consoles/games that they are always in short supply, then the public do their marketing for them by word of mouth.

DS has been in short (or limited) supply at christmas for how many years now? Same with Wii, and yet everyone I know who wanted one has got one after looking around a bit.

Limited supply + public hysteria = Great word of mouth advertising!

I ordered from Pc World earlier but now have the "stock query' message but haven't received an email. I'm seriously !!!!ed off as there were some on john lewis earlier that I could have tried for if I'd known my order wasn't confirmed. AT least when I tried this morning it told me when I submitteed the order that they didn't have any.

I just missed the Amazon one too. I want the game for myself but didn't want it so badly in time for Christmas until I thought I'd got my hands on one this morning but now I really want to try to get one.
