Hi, am thinking of a special trip to Gourmet Burger Kitchen this Monday night for a birthday but I remembed some mixed reviews of it when it first opened. Has anyone had any recent experience? I know it isnt the cheapest way to have a burger but the menu looks good (EVEN with some nice veggie alternatives? Hooray!) and I fancied a wander round the festive shops there afterwards. Would be grateful for any comments or alternative suggstions for a relaxed birthday meal out and something to do afterwards - thankyou!:j
Feel free to thank me, it makes my toes tingle and my ears go warm :T

I liked it when i was there about a month ago - ok its not the cheapest, but the burger was good. My main issue was with the price of the drinks!0

soft drinks price in GBK are a complete rip off and they only use the small glass bottles, went to pizza express on wednesday and it was absolutely lovely,
Spur - Meh average
GBK - Too dear for burger and chips
Pizza Hut - Domino's is nicer
Nandos - i hate their sauce but the chicken is nice
Frankie & Bennys - Nice if they get ur order right (£25 voucher for complaining thou)
La Tasca - Nicest restaurant in the place
Pizza Express - very nice pizzas
Aint tried tgi's, chillis and the one beside chillis0 -
Niceday999 - You were asking about GBK, I thought you might get a better response here.
We have been quite a few times, we both really like it. They were doing a deal there for £7, burger, fries and drink. so it was a good deal. Going to go back hopefully before the £5.95 voucher runs out.
AFAIK you need a voucher per person, so print off a few and take them with you.Norn Iron club member - 2650 -
We used the BOGOF voucher last month, but note you need one for each pair of people, they wouldnt let us use the one voucher for our group of 2 adults and 2 children which I thought was a bit mean...:-( HOwever, the burgers are HUGE as are the chippy portions, and FANTASTIC quality. REcommend the Falafel burger for veggies!Feel free to thank me, it makes my toes tingle and my ears go warm :T0

Thinking of trying it at the week end. It says on the £5.95 voucher( burger or main course salad and fries) ONE VOUCHER PER PSERSON
Seems good value for £5.95, wont be having any alcohol so just be a soft drink on top of that.
looking forward to it. Heard bad reports about Chillis in Vicky sq, and also TGIF's and even the buffet chinese.....Whats happening ???????/0 -
Going to build a bear tomorrow and was hoping to take myself and 4 children to GBK for lunch what is the best deal to go for and where do i get the vouchers only see bogof for burgers on line. all advice needed very soon thnks0

Was there last night but on the 2 for 1 deal (ends tonight I think).
2 burgers and 1 portion of fries came to about £11 so other £5.95 deal is probably better....really good food though - the avocado bacon burger is lush!!0
