Pressie for 11-year-old boy?

My little sister, who is almost 12, is in a tizz about what to get her new boyfriend of two days (so cute!) for Christmas. My mum and I are stuck for ideas as we have no idea what 11-year-old boys like these days? Budget will be 5 to 10 pounds.

I was thinking some Lynx stuff but is that too old for him? And is it "cool" enough?!

Any ideas appreciated!

    Aw bless , puppy love

    Here are some ideas!

    - Chocolate/sweets (what kid dont love sugar pumped foods)
-Novelty socks - like the simpsons , asdas have simpsons slipper socks for £4.00
-A book full of jokes (you can get these from £3.-£5.00 depending on where you go
-A funky cup with hot chocolate sachet and marshemellows
-A tub of silly putty or the likes
-A simposons or transformers or star wars stationary set
-If he likes football , maybe get a football and some shin pads.
    -Basketball
-Pound shops and the likes including wilkinsons sell mini basket ball and hoop sets for your bedroom for under £3.00
-A boys braclet from clairs accessory
-If he likes hair gel you could get a nice tub of shock waves or some thing
-A cheap dvd , bag of popcorn and 1 litre bottle of coke.
    - A drawstring bag witch you could put some sweets in

Hope some of those ideas might help

Lynx is one or the other , kids really like it or at 11 they might stell be a bit un caring towards tolietrees you know?

I know, it's so sweet! Keeping it quiet from our brother, who usually wants to know names, addresses, occupation of parents, average exam marks, and career paths of all her male friends!

Thanks for those ideas, love the football and shin pads especially, that's fab!

HI My DS same age likes Lynx dark temptations - £2 at Morrison currently, £3.33 Tesco, £3.80 plus everywhere else.

He is way past transformers altho still likes Dr Who but not enough to want characters but does like the cards....

    If that helps...

Thanks, might look at the Lynx then too. My sister (and the rest of us!) loves Dr. Who so this might be a good route to go down too!

Ooh and when I said "new" I really meant "first" boyfriend!

My advice is, leave it till the last minute - when I was that age relationships rarely lasted more than a few days!
  • you can never go wrong with chocolate for 11 year old boys!

I had a chat with her last night - turns out they've been going out for a week! She is thinking that chocolate could be a good idea!
  • I asked my son who's nearly 11 what he'd like from a girl as a gift and chocolate was favourite - could always buy a selection of different chocs and put them in a box decorated with 'cool' pics like bands, skateboarders n stuff, obviously depends what he likes and then he's got a cool box for secret stuff after he's eaten all the choccy.
I won't buy it if I can make or borrow it instead
  • Yep chocolate is the best idea - that way if it fizzles out in a few weeks she won't be too down hearted! Anyway, he might be 11 but they don't exactly change much re the appreciation of chocolate! :rotfl:
  • Thorntons have 25% off everything at the moment, they do some nice christmas things.
