My current modem needs replacing and I was wondering whether anyone could suggest a good value for money one, with good specifications? Like most people I don't have much spare cash at the moment, but on the other hand don't want to get one that is going to break down in a few months. The IT Dept where I work recommended a Netgear DG834GUK but at nearly £50 this is a bit too much for my budget.
Thanks in advance for any advice.

Netgear are good, but some BB providers offer them FOC with contracts. Who are you with? I think BT were doing a deal with their new black wireless router, free with 12month subscription or £25 otherwise? May be better answered in the 'Techie' forum too?:A Luke 6:38 :AThe above post is either from personal experience or is my opinion based on the person God has made me and the way I understand things.
