Have you told anyone, ducks? I know everyone feels differently about this, but it can be good to have a few very close friends in on the secret.

  • hi don79 i havent told my sister yet either but thats only because i know she will disprove as she moans when im behind in my sky bill and they cut me off so can imagin what she will say to the fact im going br. she knows ive been having trouble paying bills but doesnt know how much debt im in she doesnt even know i had cc. i have to tell her as she lives in the same area and gets the local paper so she will either see or get told. but just know how to come out with it its not really something you can slip into a conversation is it,

hi, I don't think my sis would moan but it would upset her so I don't want to do that.

Its not something you can just blurt out. I am probably ok in that I have no family who will see the local paper down here and none of them read the London Gazette.

I have just been on the phone and set up my new coop account and I have also spoken to the court and they do a drop in service wed- fri so I am moving things forward. just gotta finish off my forms now.

does anyone know if I open a coop savings account pre- br will they then close it once go BR? I think they might but just wondered if they would or not. Not that will have megabucks of savings but it would be nice to have some to put away a little each month somewhere.

    Hi Don (and Lisa),
Billy got a savings account with Chelsea Building Soc, I think, about a month affter BR. I'm relying on (a) a little tin, and (b) checking my cashminder balance really frequently so I know I'm on target. I think someone else (FYP?) uses their cashplus (pre paid credit card) as a means of ring-fencing money for savings. From the briefest of skims, SOA looks good, by the way. Now where's Fermi and how do I get rid of the laptop and get my ruby slippers?
