    £2.99 on some coathangers in wilkinsons
    £1.50 for some groceries (milk, bread etc)
    Not a bad day really but need to get some train tickets (newcastle to bristol) in the next few days so that might be quite a bit! Having said that its cheaper than petrol for 300 mile trip and better for the environment so mustn't grumble!!

  • Thought I was doing well but got a call to say that a friend who lives along way from me has had a heart attack so £1.29 on a card, brown paper 65p, sun news paper for 35p (for £9.50 hol) and Venue mag which is £1.30 inc a free novel around the world in 80 days and some money off vouchers for free/cheap days out locally. They also had some excellant eat cheaply in the new year ideas and how to survive a day on £1. Also a list of the best charity shops in our area!
    Money well spent.

    Had to post a parcel DstepD left her homework here so that was £1.15.

    Now have sent eldest DD out to supervise middle DD practicing her driving to tesco to get fruit as fruit salad for 7 wiped me out!!!!

  • This is a summary of today:

    £1.00 - parking at a local hospital (not work this time, so no chance to claim back)
    £5.00 - my regular haircut
    £82.71 - credit card bill! However, this with proceeds from a betting offer, so actually made £25.

    That's it... eBay parcels to send tomorrow, so a few pence to spend. heading towards Liverpool tomorrow night, so last post till next week for me.

    New to this..
    I have been really good all week but today I met with a friend in town so all my goodness went out the window!

    £10 electric
    £12.50 costa ( yes i know but a real treat)
    £10 cargo got 12 really nice drinking glasses as we have none.
    £1 parking, nowhere free to park :-(
    Debt free and plan on staying that way!!!!

    £10.50 this evening for Indian Take-Away. 2 x Chicken Pathia with Pilau Rice, 1 poppadom and 1 chappati. I am spending virtually nothing since I stopped smoking :j :j :j

    £1.50 on a cup of tea, (it was in Kensington), 50p for raffle tickets (but I didn't win) £1.46 on fruit for my drive home. I also had a riduculous hotel and parking bill, £139 and £29 respectively, but they will be claimable on expenses.
