Thanks for everyones advice, I am going to send this off at lunch time, has anyone got any last minute comments?

Does anyone know how long it takes from sending off the IPOQ to it being set up?

    Thanks.

How long is a piece of string?

It really depends on how busy the OR's office is and whether he wants to make adjustments to your SoA.

Untill it is set up though you get to keep all surplus until you have a date to pay the OR's representative. So one bit of good news.

What have you decided to do about the rent?

Rent - Have had a look around and this is maybe a bit to high, but my mum and dad are really struggling with their mortgage and they basically need £500 min from me, I realise that probably in the OR eyes this is not their problem though. Get your mum and dad to sign up here and get on to the DFW board. You will have a bit of surplus after your IPA so you can give them a bit of extra money.

Contents insurance - What is a reasonable sum for this? £20 but please make sure you get some.

Life assurance - This policy has no value, unless I croak it!! It was declared at the time of BR too.

    Entertainment - Oh well

Dentist - Not Specifically - Oh well Put £20 down for medical and get yourself a pre payment certificate. Ask the chemist for a form. It will save you a lot.

Prescription - This is what I pay a month on average. See above

    Thanks and any other ideas?

Also, how long from sending off the IPOQ to it being set up?

    Cheers

    Sorry I missed this earlier.

Make sure you send it back recorded so you can track it and know when it arrived and who signed for it.

Do you pay any professional fees or union fees?
