Fancy dress help needed again.

DS's class are doing a James Bond theme on Friday, and naturally he wants to be James Bond. He only told me about it last night.
The only idea I've had is to convert a spare school blazer into a tux - thinking covering collar with satiny lining material. Will this be horrendously difficult and has anyone any idea how to go about it?
Any ideas gratefully received.
You were all absolute stars for book day!
TIA

It might be easier to get some black satin 3/4 inch wide ribbon and sew that along the edge of the lapel with big tacking stitches just folding under the extra where you turn a corner and catching it with a few stitches. That way you don't have to worry about raw edges (satin frays like nobody's business)

You could use more of the ribbon to make a bow tie
It doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!

That's a brilliant idea. Thank you Mary. I could use extra ribbon to trim his trousers too. I'm lucky that the school blazer and trousers are black!

You could also make a cummerbund - see if you can get a cheap black satin long scarf, stiffen it with some iron on interfacing and make pleats lengthwise in it then cut it to a length which will fit round his waist plus a small overlap and fasten it with some velcro at the back
