B & Q Gift Vouchers

Warning.................. B & Q have announced today that they will not accept Gift Vouchers issued by the Kingfisher Group. The vouchers are valid in B & Q, Comet and Woolworths.

Asked how customers can get back the money they have paid, B & Q's answer locally (Kent) is "dunno".

yep had this problem today! wish i han't delayed on buying something from comet now, went to comet and b&q and nether were accepting. hoping woolworths will accept them now otherwise i am going to find myself with 40£ of worthless vouchers

Yes, we have a large amount in Kingfisher vouchers, and had been using them happily in B & Q for some time, while knowing we'd be glad of holding the majority to buy a fridge-freezer in Comet in the January sales. From accepting them 3 days ago, B & Q refused them today, referring us to Kingfisher. As has been pointed out, in fact of the 3 big retailers mentioned in connection with the vouchers, only B & Q are part of Kingfisher, together with Screwfix, the lesser-known Trade Depot, and four other brands I'd never heard of. However I'll defer to those people who tell us that the voucher "company?" - far from being owned by Kingfisher, is actually under the Woolworths umbrella!

Before contacting Kingfisher, which I suspect will lead to more tears, I will be trying to use the vouchers at Woolworths and Screwfix.

We stopped getting Kingfisher vouchers months ago as B & Q were not happy taking them and knew they would be stopping.

Flogistics -- a Woolworhs Group company issues the KINGFISHER GIFT VOUCHERS (KGV's) Woolworths Group (and therefore Flogistics) is NOT in administration.
Woolworths PLC which owns UK stores IS in Administration.

Woolworths actually gave cash for them without any purchase, yesterday -- Christmas Eve.
They cannot give credit, so have to return cash.

Ask for store manager if any problems.

Neither Bent&Questionable (A KINGFISHER GROUP Company!!) nor Comet (Ex Kingfisher Group) will accept KGV's
