Intrum Justitia - advice please? Ex's debt.

My ex and I are separated and he has moved in with his father until I find alternative accommodation for me and our kids. We both have debts, the ones in my name being considerably more but I am paying these back gradually through CCCS. This is in addition to paying the mortgage, paying off a joint overdraft and bills, foods etc. Ex does give me maintenance every month for the kids and I have a part time job but I still struggle to get by.
Anyway to cut a long story short my ex is ignoring his debts and because he is still on the electoral roll at this address all phone calls and letters end up here. I pass on all letters and phone messages but he doesn't do anything about them. I've now stopped answering the phone to numbers I don't know. A letter arrived today from Intrum Justitia today stating that they are now sending details to field agents to call at our home address. My dilemma is I can't give his father's address, he is an old man and it would be really unfair for him to have to fend off these people. Can I contact these people to tell them he has moved out but I don't have a forwarding address. I really can't deal with these people turning up at my door. Only last week I had Sherriff Officers here with a small claims summons. I suffer quite badly from depression and find these situations hard to deal with. I thought once I'd started to deal with my own debts (and believe me it took me a while to face up to them) I would no longer have to deal with things like this.
He does have a very reasonable income and to be honest the amount of debt, around £1500, I reckon he could afford to pay off in less than a year. I don't mean to sound flippant about the amount of his debt as I know it's all relative but mine is around £16k so to me his is a mere drop in the ocean.
Sorry I've rambled on a bit but any advice would really be appreciated. Many thanks - this is a wonderful site.:T

To be honest, Jmatk, you really do not need to do anything other than to return any correspondence to the Debt Collection Agency, marked 'gone away' or 'no longer at this address'.
That said, you should, also, make your ex aware that the continued phone calls and letters are causing you anxiety and that he should take ownership of his problems.
But, legally, none of this is your responsibility.I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.

Also, to stop some of the telephone calls if any of them are trying to chase you, you could send one of these letters.
