Well just as well there was no staff in reception at the Travel Lodge this morning when I met Aliasajo there to unload the boot of my car of Argos bargains! Discovered an extra little bargain when I was loading the car as I had got her a saw horse, with great difficulty as first visit to pick it up they couldn't find it, second they said there was a part missing and third visit was successful. Anyway when I looked at it today they have sellotaped two saw horses together as the guy thought it came in two parts! Not a bad bargain for £2.75!!

Chatting non-stop (god she is worse than me ) we headed for Ikea but it took us half an hour to get out of the car because we were gabbing so much. We wandered and chatted our way round Ikea with a couple of yellow bags which quickly had to be changed to a trolley and even found we had the same taste as we bought the same things. So both houses are going to be twinkling with Ikea lights this Christmas!!

Incidentally MarkR, Aliasajo confessed to having looked for the pink Christmas tree 8)

She wouldn't let me pay my Ikea bill as a thank you and I managed to resist the temptation to rush back in and buy more ;D In true MSE style I treated her to a sandwich in Sainsburys and paid using my Pinecone Research luncheon vouchers, hope you are all proud of me!

Aliasajo is a true MSE gem and if any of you ever get the chance to meet up with DO IT, she is lovely and I so enjoyed my time today :-* :-*

Edinburghlass - sounds like you hada great time - did you get many Ikea bargains? I've not had blurb through about their sale yet ???

If anyone is near the Leicester Belgrave store then get down there as they are having a hell of a clear out ;D
They have Plasma screens for under a grand (32") cameras, mp3's, loads and loads and loads of tv's, hifi's and while I was waiting watched about 100 George Foreman hot and spicy thingies come down and when I asked why ::) was told they were clearing out loads some @ 75% off. If anyone wants me to look out for any smaller items then pm me and I will check next time I go

It's amazing. I can't believe that this thread is still going and people are still finding bargains.

I have been trying to resist the tempatation to read the thread after overdoing things earlier on but I thought I would have a quick peek this morning. Looks like I am going to have to pop down to my local later to try my luck again.

Surely this must be one of the longest threads ever and by the look of things we won't need to create a new one when the February RO list is out!! ;D

There's a green leaflet thingie with a lot of stuff half price, those red george forman grills are half price - £19.99. I thought about getting one but I just got rid of my last one which I'd got on commision because it was taking up too much space . Oh the green leaflet should be in every store.

If you are going to Leicester Belgrave Gate today then for godsake go early. I went in there last Saturday in the afternoon the queues were huge, all the catalogues had several people at them. Even the ones at the back that no-one uses. The place was heaving.
