I'm very confused - when I try to R&R it cuts me off as soon as I have entered the catalogue number. This has happened twice. I think they introduced something to their telephone system to stop us using the codes. Could someone else check if it is happening to them too please?

Does the phone line actually go dead, or do you get a message saying something like 'there has been a problem with this call......blah, blah and then you get cut off?

If it's the latter, then that happens from time to time, no idea why. If it's the former, my guess would be an overloaded system struggling to cope with calls?

I might be wrong but I don't think the system would be sophisticated enough to recognise certain codes.

No, there's no message, it just cuts off the second I have finished entering the code.

I wouldn't be surprised if they are able to do that to their telephone system, it would be the one way they could stop us from doing it?

Anyway, can someone post when they have managed to successfully R&R so I know it's just me being paranoid

Hi not been in the thread for a while. Just wondered does the OP or anyone know if there will be a similar RO list rush after the new catalogue comes out early in the new year?? Thanks and seasons greetings.

Charlie, I've just tried it and it was fine. I tried a few different codes and different stores and didn't have a problem.

Gremlins somewhere I think. :-/

Hiya tabunny! ;D As far as I'm aware, nobody knows for absolute certain that there will be a new RO sale, but we're all expecting there to be.

God I hope there is, what will we do with our time if there's not?

I was told that RO lists with new ex-catalogue stock are done when a new catalogue is due out - whether or not there will be a rush for them is another thing - guess it depends on the amount of discount they apply ;D

You can still find the odd bargain knocking around although they seem to be thin on the ground. The more hard work punching in codes (instore) the greater the rewards (well sometimes) if you read all of this thread it will give you a good idea of whats about and what a jolly good bunch the argosites are ;D ;D ;D
