Nice - for the banks that is!
Charge the customer for applying for the card.
Charge monthly fees or per transaction.
Make them pre-load the card.
Earn interest on the money that they pre-load.
Charge them premium rates for any telephone contact.
Charge the merchant credit card rates for processing.
I know it's a service that people need and it's great from that point of view, but the charges do seem a little excessive.0 -
I have started using cash plus and whilst i agree the charges are a bit high. It gives me the ability to have a credit card and shop on line and ue hotels etc. have used it in hotels and never had a single problem with it.
Also have to say the call centre staff are very helpful and found them to be very responsive to my questions from my point of view much easier to manage than a standard credit card.
