How long can you keep a Costco Birthday cake for?

Hi Everyone,
I've been tasked with getting the cake for my dad's birthday on Boxing Day - there will be a party so it needs to be able to feed a fair few people.
I've learnt that I can get Costco membership through work and that their large birthday cakes come recommended.
Due to the Christmas holidays, the latest I can get one is Christmas Eve - do you think the cake would be okay to keep in my fridge for 2 days to then serve on Boxing Day? I think the cake is vanilla sponge with buttercream icing. Also, will it fit in a standard fridge, as I know the cakes are rather large!
Many thanks,
BDJx

Yeah it'll be fine, keep it chilled from Christmas Eve and it'll be perfect for Boxing day. I have to say going from my previous experience of Costco cakes, your biggest problem is going to be not finishing it before the end of Christmas Eve. They're delicious!,___,

Thank you - do you think it'd fit in a standard 'under the worktop' sized fridge? Otherwise we might be a bit stuck cos everyone else's fridges will be full of Christmas grub!

they are brilliant cakes!!
I prefer the chocolate and chocolate cream ones but the vanilla ones are great too. You can choose from a variety of themes and colours and they personalise them with a message.
The butter icing is so soft and gorgeous too. Make sure you order in time. You can order quite a while before as you put the day and time you want to pick it up. The most recent one we got was one for my 3 yr old in october and the 6 of us had loads plus all her friends and staff at her nursery!!!
It will easily keep until boxing day although I agree that you will be lucky if it makes it TO boxing day! You can smell the lovely butter icing and vanilla very clearly!
Good choice0
