Is it possible? I already have my dress so thats not included in the budget. I wont be having bridesmaids but have two gorgeous daughters that will need dressing!

Are you planning a church or civil wedding ceremony?0

If £600 is your budget you might think about counting down from this. What are the essentials?
Register office? £100
Do you need to buy rings?
Are you having a honeymoon?
Do you want a cake?
Stuff like that.
I imagine you'd have to make a few sacrifices and what your daughters wear may end up not being a priority.0 -
We only need a ring for me and we will be inviting approx 20 people. I would like a cake and have looked at m and s. Has anyone tried tescos ones?

Doing everything for less than £600 isn't beyond the realms of possibility.
You need to list your priorities and sort things out from there. How do you want the day to pan out? If you just want the ceremony and that's it then it will be easy. It's the bits and bobs which add up.
How are you going to invite people?
Is there going to be a reception?
How are you travelling from A to B?
Do you want flowers?
Are you providing and refreshments at all?

The most expensive part of any wedding is the food and drink, i would contact a local caterer and ask for a quote.
drinks: buy the drinks from your local supermarkets
the cake is simple, tesco, sainsburys and asda all do fruit and sponge cakes at a resonable price for a 2 tier and they taste nice too.
flowers: have you got a market near you, i bought my wedding flowers from our local indoor market, the bouquets cost around £20 for roses.
Fees' : register office from £40-£340 depending on the length of service and type.
dresses for kids- you can pick up gorgeous outfits from many supermarkets from about £20
i hope this helps

I agree, venue and catering will be by far your biggest expense so I'd start by finding a venue that will allow you to cater yourselves, do a 'booze cruise' for your drinks and get competitive quotes from caterers.
Good Luck!0 -
We've spent just over £600 so far with 2 weeks to go so most things have been paid for.... so its easily done

Dont forget that the ring is just a symbol and its the meaning that counts. and yes i think you will do it. Any friends with cooking skills or can flower arrange?.I am sure they will be delighted to help. Saw some gorgeous dresses in Debenhams partyish but some ideal for bridesmaids And i am sure your daughters will look beautiful standing with their mum. Your happiness will reflect on them.Dont stress it will all come together. I am also a bride to be so know what you mean but i am in the early planning days and will also be on a tight budget. We'll get there.0

With 20 people you can either have your reception at home or book a private room in a pub and put on your own buffet.....or ask some friends to arrange that for you as a wedding present!
Look on ebay for 2nd hand wedding dresses...there are some serious bargain on there. You'll definately get a dress for under £100It all works out good in the end.If it's not good, it's not the end!0
