Using a PO box as a registerd company address?

Hello, i have a question, not sure if this is the rite section.
I am going to open a Ltd company. I live in a rented flat with a contract clause that I cannot use the flat for company stuff although i would not be working in the flat but going to various jobs all over the place and working on-site there. I want to register a PO box as the registered address (Companies House website says it is acceptable to do this)
"provided the full address is given, including the postcode, and it is validated by the Royal Mail".
Does this mean that even though the registered address will be a PO box that the company address will be seen as the flat i rent or is a PO box regarded in law as a seperate entity from the full address? hope this makes sense.

Companies have a registered office address and can also have a trading address. The trading address is where people contact you if they need you quickly, you do paperwork, training or whatever for your business.
So even though you state you won't be doing company stuff from home this is not strictly true because you will have to do at least basic paperwork i.e. paying bills at home.
Flat contracts and leases have the no business clause in them to prevent people setting up businesses that cause a nuisance to neighbours or have personal callers.
If I would you I would explain your job/business to your landlord/LA and mention you do paperwork at home they mostly don't care what you do as long as you don't register the business address there. This has the advantage of allowing your business bank account statements and VAT to come directly to you.
You could use your accountant as your registered office address. This costs about the same as a PO Box and has the advantage that someone will forward letters to you so you don't have to worry about the delivery office opening times.I'm not cynical I'm realistic
(If a link I give opens pop ups I won't know I don't use windows)0 -
if you don't want to use a PO BOX because it looks too obvious that you don't have 'proper' premises you can use a service similar (but better) service to PO Boxes through Mail Boxes Etc. i've got my business address at one. you don't call it PO BOX 123, it can be Suite or Dept 123, then the Mail Box Etc store address, and you can use it as your registered address.0
