A calender with the childs handprint and handprint poem on it.
All you need is a piece of cardboard, some paper and a calender (either a tiny one or you could print it off, downloaded online - if you're using A4 card, print it off about A5)
It looks really sweet and it's really sentimental.

A mug with the childs handprint and handprint poem on it.
You can get "paint your own mug" sets from wolworths for £1 or Morrisons for £1.50, wilkos do them too and many other places. Permanent marker works on the mugs too, so you could write the poem on with a thin permanent marker on one side and have the handprint on the other side - you could even get a little message on like "To Grandma, love Jason" or whatever.

If my typing is pants or I seem partcuarly blunt, please excuse me, it physically hurts to type. :wall: If I seem a bit random and don't make a lot of sense, it may have something to do with the voice recognition software that I'm using!

Nice idea. I'm getting mine to do "Daddy and Me" books: you make a booklet by cutting down paper, and glue it inside a card. They decorate it inside and out, and write things on the pages like "Daddy is the best because" etc., or on one side they say things like "i have green eyes ..." (picture drawn of them) and on the other side "... and daddy has blue eyes" (picture drawn of Daddy). My Seven year old is doing his according to the second option, and my three year old is answering questions like the first option and I'm writing them in.
Sorry, longwinded post, and I'm not even sure it makes sense the way I've written it, but i hope it gives someone an idea. Are there any other ideas out there for kids to make for parents/grandparents etc.?0 -
