Help - Window Scrim Query

Options
I have got some pre-washed scrim and I have used it for the first time today. I cleaned my windows, squeegeed them and dried them with the (dry) scrim. Is that the right way to use it? I'm sure my old window cleaner used to finish the windows off with wet, wrung out scrim. Can anyone enlighten me please?

ps Of course, I used vinegar in the washing water!! :D

    The window Cleaners way .

Even though prewashed give it a boil or soak in boiling water with a little lemon washing up liquid to get rid of natural oils that will leave streaks.

Use wet shammy leather on windows and wring scrim out well, if it still leaves streaks until worked in polisk up with a dry lint frre cotten cloth !
